Qeshm has a long history of ship building industry as well as ocean sailing for trading centuries over centuries.
In Gouran village, which situates on the northwest shore of the Island and has one of the major ship building yard, the newly established Gouran Lenj Building and Sailing Open Museum introduces the unique tradition of ship building technique and its overseas sailing routes while walking on its visit way through the exhibitions such as the shipbuilding workshop and the jetty.
The museum also equips a playground for children so that they can learn the basic structure of ships while playing in it.
The admission for the museum is free.
Visitors can request paid guided tours in either English or Farsi by advance order.
Also, related attraction tours including traditional Tartali boat cruise and traditional fishing experience are available.
